Call for Wearable Art (Los Angeles / deadline March 11)

{call to artists} GALLERY 475

Next month's show theme is wearable art. We're looking for your creativity
on virtually anything that you feel can be described as wearable or some
kind of wearable art. There are no limitations as to what you can do, but we
are looking to showcase your best pieces on such items as t-shirts, jeans,
purses, wallets, bags, hats and pillows Submissions can also be handmade
products such as jewelry, sewing pieces, crafty items, papier-mâché on
forms, fashion illustrations or just some dope art ON ANYTHING. If you have
done pieces like this in past life, please submit to showcase at the
gallery! We are welcoming the old and the new.

Since this is not the normal "nail and hang display", we may need your
information in advance on what you plan to submit and how you would like it
displayed. We are asking you to provide your own display for your piece, if
necessary, but we're working to gather some body forms, torsos (for
t-shirts), hat stands, hangers, racks, grids, columns/stands. We're trying
to get a head count to accommodate everyone so it will be on a first come,
first serve basis.

We are also looking for artists (and models) who are interested in doing
live paintings on models, henna art and aerosol art on walls, even doing
stencil work on an old pair of jeans!

Please contact the gallery if you are interested in being a part of the
show. We're looking forward to seeing everyone's interpretation. Remember,
we are not limiting this to just clothing, wearable art can be in any "good
form"....

Looking forward to everyone's reply soon....

Submissions are due on Tuesday, March 10th @ Gallery 475. Please contact the
gallery at (909) 469-1390.

Bring the art exposition....this is a fusion of your talent, coming together
as a funky eclectic collaboration of all genres.

Peace.
