ATTENTION ARTISTS: For Love or Money

The City of Brea Art Gallery is producing an exhibition entitled “For Love or Money” featuring artwork from artists who work by day work as hired hands for design companies, advertising agencies, etc., yet by night exercise personal creative outlets.

“For Love or Money” will showcase work from both aspects of the artist’s career, with examples of personal art contrasted with their “for the money” work.

We are seeking submission from interested artists to be reviewed for inclusion. There is no entry fee; submissions will be judged by the merit of the work alone.

Entry Deadline : July 15, 2009

Exhibition Dates : August 1 – September 11

Entry information: We are seeking all media : oil, watercolor, drawing, mixed media, photography, video, sculpture, spoken word, and performance. Entries may be submitted via CD or e-mail;
Artwork : jpegs with image size of 4”x 5” , max of 300 dpi file resolution. Each jpeg file must be named with the artist last name and title of artwork.
Spoken Word : recordings should be submitted in standard AIFF or mp3 formats.
Video and videos of Performance Art : standard DVD or QuickTime format.

Multiple entries on CD/DVD should be submitted on a single disc. Disc must be labeled with the artist’s full name and titled with artwork name.
