East Hollywood Arts and Culture Committee announces the Second Annual East Hollywood ArtCycle happening, on Saturday, March 13th, 2010 from 2-10pm, an event designed to showcase the emerging art and bicycling cultures in East Hollywood.

This all day family event is designed to show off the innovative mixture of cultures and the creative spaces that exist in East Hollywood.

We are calling for artists, who DON'T need a wall to display their art, to participate. This includes installation artists, sculptors, knitters, new media, set designers, those who enjoy making work outside, etc.

If you have a gallery within the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council boundaries (map on website http://easthollywoodartcycle.com) and we have not already contacted you, we would love to have you open your doors to the public for this all day event and participate in any way you can think of.

In addition to the neighborhood bicycle rides to artist studios, galleries and historical/cultural points of interest, we will also open Santa Monica Blvd between Madison and Virgil (across from the Cahuenga Branch Library and the DWP Lightyard, in the heart of East Hollywood and on old Historic Route 66) from 2-10pm for pedestrian and bike traffic only, in order to give independent artists an opportunity to show their work.

We have limited space so get your request in ASAP by emailing us at info@easthollywoodartcycle.com to be considered for this opportunity to show your work for FREE. Please attach 4 examples of your art and website links if you have any.
