The LA Female Playwrights Initiative (www.lafpi.com) is a grassroots organization. It has commissioned a study of the play-producing tends in the LA theater community from 2000-2009. Responses are requested from LA-based playwrights and theater companies by July 30, 2010. Our goal is to find out the number of productions by male/female playwrights put up on LA stages over the last ten years. Please report and let your voice be heard.

If you are an LA-based playwright or representative of an LA-based company, your participation is requested. If you are in ANY WAY connected to an LA-based playwright or LA-based theater company, please pass this information on to them.

Thank you,

The LA FPI (www.lafpi.com) is providing a nexus of community support on two fronts: for women playwrights, and for LA-area artists and organizations interested in producing plays by women. In addition, we're an inside source for LA theatergoers who want to support our goals, and invest in the theaters who are doing the same thing – by buying tickets to plays by female playwrights! If you support what we're doing, please consider making a statement through the use of our Logo.
