Call for Sound Art (deadline September 30)

AMP's picture

Our 2010 Call for submissions deadline Sept 30th. We have well over
100 submissions in already but there aren't a lot of these by Canadian
artists. We welcome all submissions (all ages and nationalities) but
would love to see the gap between Canadian and international
submissions made smaller so please don't be shy - send us your work!
Please note that we will be choosing Canadian artists from the radio
art portion of the call for submissions to be commissioned to create a
new work for CBC Radio 1's Living Out Loud.

Profs and assistant profs, I'd be very grateful if you could
disseminate to all of your students.

Email naisa@naisa.ca should you have any questions.

Thanks!
Nadene
2010 Call For Submissions on the theme ABOUT TIME
Categories: Radio Art, Electroacoustic Music/Sound Art, Videomusic and
Installation Art
September 30, 2010 Deadline

2011 marks the 10th anniversary of NAISA’s Deep Wireless and SOUNDplay
festivals as well as the 10th anniversary for NAISA as a not-for-
profit organization and so it is an opportunity for NAISA to both
reflect on the past and look ahead to the future. With this in mind,
New Adventures in Sound Art invites artists of all ages and
nationalities to submit works on the themeABOUT TIME for consideration
in New Adventures in Sound Art’s 2011 programming for its annual Deep
Wireless, Sound Travels, and SOUNDplay festivals presented in Toronto,
Canada. Artists may submit works in one or all of the following four
categories (Note: please send separate submissions for each entry).
Individual interpretations or variations on the theme ABOUT TIME are
encouraged, but should be realized with sound as the primary component.
