Grant Opportunities Focused on Next Generation Arts Leadership in California

The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI), in partnership with The James
Irvine Foundation and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, is now
offering the following grant opportunities that you may be eligible to apply
for through the Creative Capacity Fund:

1) NextGen Professional Development Grants: Provides grant opportunities up
to $1,000 for eligible emerging arts leaders to take workshops, attend
conferences or work with career coaches or management consultants.

Applications are due on the 15th of the month with a one month turnaround.

To be eligible, individuals must:
• Be between the ages of 18-35, at the time of application
• Be currently working with a California nonprofit arts organization as an
administrator, artist or board member
• Have been employed less than 10 consecutive years in the arts field
• Completed the Next Generation Arts Leaders survey (The NextGen Arts Survey
is currently closed and scheduled to reopen in June 2011. If you would like

2) NextGen Innovation Grants: Provides up to $10,000 for eligible arts
organizations to explore new policies and innovative practices that will
help sustain their next generation leaders.

Letters of Inquiry are due by January 20, 2011. Eligible organizations are
any arts organization in California that has received a grant within the
past three years from either The James Irvine Foundation or The William and
Flora Hewlett Foundation.
