Dear Artist,

The deadline to apply for the opportunity to create a commissioned
artwork/award for the Clinton Global Citizen Awards, in partnership with
NYFA, has been extended to May 31st at 5:00pm. We encourage you to consider
applying. Attached are the application forms for your convenience. We look
forward to receiving your design proposal submissions.

Each year, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) has commissioned new artists
to create artwork for the Clinton Global Citizen Awards. Past awards have
included artist interpretations and representations of global citizenship in
the form of sculptures, statues, and folk art. This year, NYFA is calling
out to our artists for design submissions for this award. CGI is interested
in enlisting artist(s) whose background story or artistic style tie into the
overall themes of CGI to create the physical award to be presented to CGI
awardees. Please see the attached .pdf for more information about the
Clinton Global Citizen Awards.

In addition to having their work be the basis for this prestigious award,
the selected artist will receive an honorarium of $1,500 for their selected
design and model, plus the cost of materials to fabricate eight (8) editions
of the awards, acknowledgement in the printed program and webpage for the
Clinton Global Citizen Awards and a complimentary pass to attend the event.

To apply, please carefully read the attached Guidelines and email your
application materials, including your Application Form, to David C. Terry
(dterry@nyfa.org) by May 31, 2011. The selected artist(s) will be notified
of their application status by June 21, 2011.

Please email questions to fellowships@nyfa.org.

Thank you,

NYFA and CGI
