The Music Center, Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County, one of
the nation's premier performing arts institutions located in
Downtown Los Angeles, seeks a skilled professional to serve in the role
of:

Marketing Manager

Seeking a skilled marketing manager with advertising, promotional and
public relations experience, strong communications skills and a creative
orientation to join the Marketing and Communications Team.

Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Marketing and
Communications the position will be responsible for managing and
implementing a strategic marketing program supporting the Music
Center's brand and programmatic marketing and communications as well
as its internal communications activities.

Key responsibilities:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive programmatic
marketing and communications campaign to support audience development to
Music Center-sponsored or produced events; specially responsible for
marketing oversight of two signature Community Arts programs, Active
Arts at the Music Center and World City family programming, as well as
future community programs in planning phase.

· Manage and coordinate advertising support for these
programs including creative development and media planning/buying, media
sponsorship and trade opportunities, promotional support via promotional
partnership and grassroots programs, and collateral generation to
include copy writing and design input and oversight.

· Manage external communications including media relations
and social media; develop and implement a positive publicity program to
drive media coverage of program events; supervise media-request
fulfillment.

· In addition, create and implement and coordinate a
meaningful communications and public relations strategy for Music Center
Education and Community Engagement and Outreach programs; specifically
Spotlight Awards, Children's Festival and Very Special Arts
Festival. Will support AVP in developing and managing Music Center
Institutional Brand effort; to market Music Center as a whole and to
support productions, festivals and any other programmatic initiatives
undertaken by the Music Center.

Required Qualifications and desired skills include: Bachelor degree;
minimum 5 years professional experience in marketing, including hands-on
experience in advertising, promotions and public relations. Thorough
understanding of traditional and emerging media and experience working
with social media. Strong management skills; ability to effectively
multi-task with attention to detail and accountability to deadlines.
Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal, including
the ability to present information in a variety of formats. Excellent
strategic and critical thinking skills. Ability to manage budgets.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; and to interact
effectively with a wide variety of people on-and off-site. Energetic
team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and creative skills;
strong interest in the performing arts; must be able to work evening and
weekends as necessary.

Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 commensurate with experience;
Compensation package includes medical, dental and vision health plans,
welfare insurance benefits, 401k plan; generous vacation plus sick days.
