JOB OPENING: FINE ART SALES ASSOCIATE

The ECF Art Centers is a non-profit that nurtures 135 gifted Adult
Artists (18 years and older) with disabilities and is looking for an
experienced and talented Fine Art Sales Associate. Our artists have had
exhibits locally in Los Angeles to exhibiting at the Smithsonian Gallery
and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC. One of our artists has
also shown in a fundraiser group exhibit with David Hockney, therefore
there is great potential in the type of work being sold. The Art Dealer
position would require going to restaurant owners, interior designers,
studio staging productions, home developers, contemporary furniture
outlets, offices, hotels and other relevant venues to acquire accounts
for multiple sales.

We are looking for a talented Fine Art Sales Associate or outside sales
person with these qualities:

1. Undergraduate degree in any of these fields: Fine Art,
Marketing, Design, Art History, Architecture and related fields.
2. Proven track record in sales and negotiations
3. Extremely resourceful and highly proficient at internet
research
4. Love and knowledge of mid-century to contemporary art
5. Presents oneself professionally
6. Verbally articulate, enthusiastic and outgoing
7. Is creative in marketing and connecting with people and
businesses
8. General knowledge of interior design, trends and the needs of
art collectors
9. Personable, able to network effectively and not afraid to
approach new clients
10. Loves going out in the field
11. Has reliable transportation
12. Able to close sales and focus on results
13. Enjoys going to opening receptions and events
14. Can work within a flexible schedule
15. Has general knowledge of digital image formatting, can
effectively organization contacts and collector information.
16. Comfortable with social media communication
17. Can work independently, but still works well with others

What this position does and does not offer:

1. Base salary of $20K + 25% commission on all art sales.
Presently our program, website and infrastructure have the
capability to provide $300K+ worth of artwork annually, making this
position potentially earn $95K+ annually if potential sales were
met. Our program continues to grown and we expect an increased
output of 10% year over year.25% of all art sales whether directly
or indirectly tied to the Art Dealer goes to the Art Dealer
position. In 2010 we grossed an estimated $40K work of art sales
without a sales associate, therefore there is realistic potential
to earn well above the base salary.
2. Health Insurance, sick and vacation hrs and 401K benefits are
available
3. Mileage and a $50 cell phone reimbursement are provided
monthly.

Our program has a website (www.artecf.org) for small and midsize artwork
and our artists also produce loft size paintings. Our administrative
infrastructure is in place to provide all the support this position
requires.
