Program and Communications Manager with the Maestro Foundation

· Full-time position

Mission: To nurture young musicians and encourage appreciation of
chamber music.

The Maestro Foundation is seeking a Program and Communications Manager
who is interested in arts administration and classical music. This
individual will be an integral part of the Maestro Foundation’s
efforts, working closely with the Executive Director, the Director of
Operations and the Chairman. Maestro delivers its mission via three
distinct programs dedicated to supporting classical musicians and

. The Program and Communications
Manager will be responsible for the administration of all three programs
and for managing the Maestro Foundation’s day-to-day operations.
Duties will include coordinating project timelines, generating
communications with clients and donors, and maintaining systematic
financial accounting and reporting.

Program Administration:

Maestro Chamber Music Society:

* · Prepare layout, edit and supervise printing of
concert materials
* · Assist in concert production, coordinate concert and
event activities and supervise concert staff
* · Correspond with managements regarding artist needs,
rehearsals, and concert details
* · Provide artist support
* · Act as greeter and donor liaison at concerts

Instrument Lending and Financing Program:

* · Manage interviews, evaluations, and auditions for
instrument and loan recipients
* · Monitor and maintain ongoing communication with
current instrument and loan recipients and alumni
* · Manage maintenance of instrument collection
* · Research and correspond with luthiers
* · Facilitate vetting and selection process for new
instruments

Development, Marketing and Donor Relations:

* · Interface with and cultivate current and potential
donors
* · Assist in developing and implementing donor
cultivation initiatives
* · Generate newsletters and various print and electronic
communications
* · Assist with marketing design, layout and production
* · Generate annual direct mail materials
* · Update and monitor web presence and content regularly
* · Manage production of invitations and other materials

Fiscal Management & Office Administration:

* · Perform highly organized administrative accounting
functions and financial monitoring, including bank account
reconciliations
* · Provide regular financial reporting
* · Process donations, income, expenses and ensure timely
payment of invoices
* · Manage payroll process
* · Prioritize and manage project lists and deadlines
* · Prepare and present various reporting materials and
documents
* · Coordinate communications and organizational
scheduling
* · Maintain records, filing, data entry, and database
management
* · Provide support and assistance to Executive &
Artistic Director
* · Work closely with vendors and service providers
* · Carry out daily tasks, errands and deliveries

Qualifications:

* · Detailed bookkeeping skills and comprehensive
financial management experience highly preferred
* · Bachelor's degree required
* · Car, valid driver's license and insurance required
* · Efficient time management skills
* · Non-profit or arts organization experience strongly
recommended
* · Strong analytical/organizational skills demonstrating
an attention to detail
* · Strong writing and oral communications skills, two
writing samples required
* · Understanding of both formal and informal client
relations
* · Familiarity with classical music, musical
terminology, and string instrument is preferred
* · Proficient computer skills â€" specifically
Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
* · Electronic marketing software experience preferred
(eg. iContact or Constant Contact)
* · Ability to take initiative with individual
responsibilities as part of a dedicated team
* · Ability to sustain enthusiasm, a positive attitude
and flexibility
