Shulamit Gallery is seeking highly motivated, educated and organized individuals to assist in sales and the management of our space. The gallery offers an unpaid, hands-on, dynamic introduction to the inner workings of the gallery world. More

Interns will be assisting in matters related to website
management, press, marketing, artist engagement, development, and administration. The position involves working directly with clients and gallery directors. This is an ideal opportunity to work at the forefront of
Middle Eastern arts and culture within a fast-moving, innovative organization.

Placement Qualifications and Eligibility:
Ideal candidates should be in their junior or senior year with a serious intention to pursue a career in the arts. Prior gallery experience is favorable, but not a prerequisite. Applicants should possess an ability to work independently, a positive attitude, and literacy in social networking (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Excellent oral and written communication skills are expected of candidates, which include a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Knowledge of Constant Contact, QuickBooks, Photoshop and Wordpress is a plus.

Terms: Time requirement is currently 1 – 3 day(s) a week, including some evenings and Saturdays. Schedule and hours are flexible.

Location/Transportation: The applicants must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as he or she will be expected to travel to the gallery and events on site. The intern will be reimbursed for parking. The gallery is located in Venice, CA at 17 North Venice Blvd at the corner of Venice and Speedway.
