WHO WE ARE:
RAW:natural born artists is an independent arts organization that focuses on showcasing independent talent in film, fashion, music, visual art, performing art, hair & makeup etc.
RAW spotlights talent in local artistic communities on an every-other-month basis. RAW is an international organization with city location showcases in over 60 metropolitan cities across the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the UK!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
RAW is now looking for well-rounded, experienced event producers to act as a RAW representative/planner/producer for major cities across the U.S.
Do you have experience with producing events of all sizes? Are you used to working in a fast-paced environment? Are you a positive and energetic person? Do you have an insane amount of love for the arts? Can you meet deadlines? Are you independently organized? Are you a time management wizard? Willing to give 1 event a month, all you got?! Love to travel and explore new places? If so ... RAW:natural born artists might be a fit for you.
We're looking for a deadline driven, organized individual with keen communication skills, creative thinking and an overall drive and passion for their work.

[ JOB TITLE: Showcase Director ]

JOB DESCRIPTION:
A RAW representative and event producer is responsible for planning, promoting and producing showcases once a month in selected cities. The Showcase Director is also the prime producer for the shows their responsible for; scouting artists, communicating the financial commitment (crowd-sourcing platform) to the artists and connecting all the dots from there.
The Showcase Director will work and interact closely with Management, their own small team of volunteers, assistants and media staff, as well as artists and the arts community in their event locations. The RAW Showcase Director is responsible for ensuring the seamless booking, planning, and coordinating of each showcase.
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will represent RAW in remote locations, promoting the organization and serving as an ambassador in the area. The Showcase Director will travel to these locations once a month to attend meetings with artists and to produce the actual event.

DETAILS INCLUDE (not limited to):
--- Booking RAW artistic talent (making sure that each showcase is fully booked by sourcing talent
to participate, and communicating the RAW model to them)
--- Managing communications between booked talent, venue, and event staffing
--- Conducting meetings and interviews with potential artists and staffing
--- Networking with local arts organizations, collectives, and communities; building relationships
w/ potential artistic talents & patrons
---Promoting each showcase as well as RAW as the organization
---Participating in public relations and pursue press coverage per event showcase
---The production of each RAW showcase from set-up to tear down, and everything in between
---Being available via email and cell phone to answer questions, coordinate call times and venue
relations during pre-event production
---Conferring w/ talent before, during, and after all showcasing--ensuring the artist's satisfaction as
well as maintaining positive rapport.
---Travelling once per month to each showcase location

WHAT YOU GOTTA HAVE:
---Your own laptop
---Smart Phone
---Reliable source of transportation
---Must live in or within 30 miles of Los Angeles, CA

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
---Creativity and a sense of humor
---Clear and precise communication skills
---Strong understanding or ties with the arts
---Excellent networking skills
---3-5 years event planning experience
---Fantastic writing skills
---Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Google Docs- Photoshop a plus!
---Organization. Adept at project management.
---Attention to detail — seriously. If you don't have this, you should stop right here
---Internet and social network savvy
---Grace under pressure (don't even apply if your a "freaker-outter")
---Must be willing to get your "hands dirty." This isn't a job for paper-pushing event planners
---Experience working with creative people and clients of all types (fashion designers, artists,
photographers...etc)
---Stomach for flying!
--- Positive attitude able to go with the flow

LOCATION:
RAW Headquarters: creative office in downtown Los Angeles

COMPENSATION:
---Entry Level Base Salary + Monthly Performance Based Bonus

COMMITMENT:
40 hours a week / Travel once a month
