**JOB: TEACHING ARTISTS NEEDED FOR L.A.-BASED GLOBAL YOUTH THEATRE PROGRAM**

B.R.I.D.G.E Theatre Project is currently seeking experienced, dynamic Teaching Artists to execute afterschool theater programs for elementary school youth grades 4-6 in Lynwood, California, 20 minutes south of downtown L.A. Each program team of two Teaching Artists will guide approximately 35 students in writing and performing original short plays with full dress/tech in a culminating presentation. Each TA will also create their own large group ensemble performance piece and accompanying preparatory lesson plans.

Programs are extremely intensive and fast-paced, only 7-8 weeks long, with workshops held 2-3 days per week for 2 hours after school (Tue/Thu or Mon/Wed/Fri), plus additional required planning time before and after each workshop at the school. We offer competitive compensation for our Teaching Artists, plus stipends for mileage and outside planning time. All Teaching Artists contracted for the spring 2016 school semester must complete a week-long paid training in January and pass a criminal background check.

B.R.I.D.G.E Theatre Project is a rapidly-growing nonprofit organization offering intensive theatre programs to youth, both locally and internationally. In addition to our work in Lynwood, B.R.I.D.G.E has held programs in Los Angeles and abroad in Ecuador and Nepal. Founded in 2009, our name-driven mission is Building Relationships and Inspiring Dialogue through Global Exchange (B.R.I.D.G.E). Teaching Artists joining our Lynwood team will be considered for future international programming, set to resume in the summer of 2017.

To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume outlining the following:
1. Your interest and experience working with youth, and their age groups
2. Previous teaching artist positions and your philosophy/approach to the work
3. Professional theatre credits, including playwriting and directing
