We are pleased to announce our second annual exhibition -- “*An Ocean View
II*” -- a juried show of California coastal fine art.

Visual artists are invited to enter this exclusive representational show,
which will take place October 14-30 at Riviera UMC, 375 Palos Verdes Blvd.,
Redondo Beach, California. Artwork will hang in the Ocean View Room and
adjoining spaces. Cash prizes for Best of Show, First, Second, Third and
Honorable mentions will be awarded at the opening reception to take place
Friday, October 14 from 5-7 p.m.

The exhibition will be juried and judged by esteemed artist Stephen Mirich,
oil painter from Southern California. For the first twenty years of his
professional career, Mirich specialized in seascapes and historic maritime
scenes which garnered him national recognition and Artist Membership in the
American Society of Marine Artists. Around 1995 he turned his attention to
painting en plein air. He loves the challenge that painting on location
brings and to be inspired by his emotional response to nature. In 1997 he
helped form the Portuguese Bend Artist Colony whose mission is to stimulate
community involvement in land conservancy by capturing the beauty of open
space through art and record it in paintings for future generations. Mirich
is a Life Member and Past President of the San Pedro Art Association,
Signature Member of the California Art Club (established 1909) where he
sits on the Advisory Board and served as Vice President (1997-2003).
