SP-Arte is now accepting applications for its 13th edition held April 5 through 9, 2017 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Recognized as "arguably the most important fair in South America" and listed as one of the top five fastest growing art fairs in the world (The Art Newspaper International Fair Report), SP-Arte ended its 2016 edition on a high note with a strong participation of international and local exhibitors and attendance of collectors, curators, and art lovers.

SP-Arte has become a festival that stimulates São Paulo's cultural agenda, offering a dynamic program and mix of exhibitors that has helped São Paulo become the international hub for art in Latin America.

Applications are welcome for the following multidisciplinary sections:

Main sector includes modern (up to 1970s) and contemporary (1980s to present) galleries specializing in works that range from the early 20th century to present day.

Showcase presents an opportunity for emerging galleries to exhibit a curated selection of up to three of their artists.

Solo will show single artist booths curated and coordinated by the guest curator, Luiza Teixeira de Freitas. This sector's exhibitors are selected via application or by invitation from the guest curator.

All applications will be reviewed by the fair organizers and Selection Committee. The 2017 exhibitor list will be announced in December 2016 on SP-Arte's website. For additional questions, please email application@sp-arte.com.

About SP-Arte
Founded in 2005, SP-Arte has become an essential part of the international art circuit. In its 2016 edition, SP-Arte welcomed 124 participating galleries from 17 countries and featured over 2,000 artists across its six sections: Main, Showcase, Solo, Performance, Open Plan and Design, making it the largest and most international edition to date. Design will return in 2017 featuring the best of Brazilian and international design and its evolution over time in furniture, lighting, and antiques.

It has distinguished itself as the leading art fair in Latin America, renowned for its rigorous selection process and criterion to present the world's most important galleries. During the Fair, SP-Arte establishes partnerships with local institutions to create a full agenda of events that engages locals and visitors in São Paulo.

SP-Arte is committed to education and the arts, as an art fair it offers a commercial platform for the development of the fine arts in Brazil. In 2015, together with Jacopo Crivelli Visconti and Cauê Alves, SP-Arte developed two new sections, Open Plan, a section dedicated to installations and a special sector developed for Performances, including works by emerging artists alongside historical performances by established artists.

Through these initiatives SP-Arte inspires, educates, and facilitates cultural and business exchanges on the international stage.
