Applications open soon for 2018 Basel edition

Dear Gallerist,

We are delighted to invite you to apply for participation in the 2018 edition of Art Basel in Basel, the world's premier international art fair for Modern and contemporary works. It will take place from Tuesday, June 12, to Wednesday, June 13, 2018 with the VIP days and from Thursday, June 14, to Sunday, June 17, 2018 with the public days.

The completely digital applications will be online on August 8, 2017. Please submit your application through our website.

Once you are logged in, please go to your gallery profile to update your gallery's information and start the digital application. A video explaining the application process can be found on our website. You may apply to the following sectors:

Applications to Galleries, Edition, Statements, Feature

Galleries is the main exhibition sector of Art Basel, where leading art galleries for Modern and contemporary art display 20th and 21st century artworks. The galleries in this sector apply with their overall program, while also outlining their booth concept for the show.

Edition is the sector for leading publishers of editioned works, prints and multiples. As with the Galleries sector, exhibitors are judged based upon their overall program, while also outlining their specific booth concept.

Statements focuses on emerging artists. It is the platform for galleries presenting artists for discovery by the international artworld via an exhibition of strongly related works. Please note there is a preference given by the Selection Committee to single projects.

Feature focuses on precisely curated projects, such as the presentation of a single artist, exceptional art-historical material and exhibitions presenting multiple artists within a curatorial concept.
