The Department of Art, in the School of the Arts and Architecture, invites applications for a tenure/ tenure-track (assistant /associate) position in painting and drawing. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate art students in the area of painting and drawing, with an emphasis on contemporary studio practices. We are seeking candidates who will actively contribute to the Department and University in creating a community of students, staff, and faculty richly diverse in cultural backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints.

Qualifications
–BA or BFA Required
–Distinction as an artist working primarily in painting and drawing
–Proven exhibition record or a demonstrated history showing great potential for active exhibition
–Expertise in the history and current practices in field of painting and drawing
–Ability to teach both studio and seminar courses
–Demonstrated teaching skills
–MFA preferred
