Americans for the Arts seeks session proposals for Annual Convention

The Americans for the Arts annual convention in Las Vegas, NV June 1-3, draws more than 1,000 creative leaders from the arts and creative business, as well as our partners in education, community building, and economic development at the local, state, and national levels. The Arts Education Network focuses on arts education issues related to:

* Systemic change and sustainable results, including influencing policy that supports the inclusion o f the arts in education;

* Influencing education decision makers;

* Professional development for educators and teaching artists, educational administrators and/or nonprofit managers; and

* Community leadership for arts education.

Strong proposals will address: leadership; public advocacy; impact of research on programs; program evaluation; age of the project; partners; and efforts to build capacity and increase the number of people served.
