Call for Proposals: Public Programs, Fall 2018

Deadline: August 10, 2018

CUE is currently seeking proposals for artist-centered public programs including events, talks, and workshops to be presented at CUE. We invite proposals that address timely topics or issues related to cultural production and that contribute to CUE’s mission of supporting emerging and under-recognized artists.

Past Public Programming series include If It’s Not Work, It Must be PLAY: Discussions on the state of work in the arts, by Cevan Castle (2014-15); Make Some Place: Conversations about people, practice, and creative placemaking, by Jordan Dyniewski and perryne lee poy lokhandwala (2016); and Access/Points: Approaches to Disability Arts by Jeff Kasper (2017-18).

Proposals may be made for single, one-time events as well as programs presented as a series, with preference given to the latter. The selected applicants will receive an organizer honorarium, and a budget for participating program speakers paid at a rate in accordance with W.A.G.E. artist fee guidelines. Applications from collaborative teams are accepted.

Applications are accepted twice annually for fall and spring programming. Projects for the upcoming deadline should take place at CUE between October and December 2018.

To apply for the program, please submit the following to fellowship@cueartfoundation.org with the subject line Public Programming -NAME by August 10, 2018:

+ Proposal (1-2 pages) outlining concept, breakdown of events, and proposed guest speakers

+ CV and narrative bio
