Dear friends of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich!

The call for this year's H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance is running!

For the 17th time, the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich is awarding Austria's only prize for performance art this year. For the first time in the award's history, we are having an international partner on board for the H13: Bergen Kunsthall in Norway!

The ambition of the H13 Prize, which is endowed with 5.000 euros and awarded every autumn, is to highlight the diversity and relevance of contemporary performance art and to make it accessible to a broader public – in Austria and beyond. Winners of the H13 Prize in recent years have included Christian Falsnaes (2008), Jakob Lena Knebl (2010), Barbis Ruder (2014) and Julischka Stengele (2020).

With the stated goal to increase the visibility of the local performance art scene internationally and to make a lasting contribution to its advancement, this year Kunstraum Niederoesterreich awards the H13 Prize in partnership with Bergen Kunsthall in Norway. In addition to the prize money and the funds for the production of the award-winning performance project (amounting to €2.000 euros), the winners of the H13 Prize will have the opportunity to develop their practice further in a two-week stay at the Live Studio at Bergen Kunsthall.

Performance artists are invited to submit their concepts until 14/04/2023. On 07/03/2023, 6:30 pm, we offer the opportunity of an online Q&A, in which questions about the application modalities can be addressed to the Kunstraum team.

Info on the application procedure as well as the members of this year's H13 jury can be found here: https://clghb04.na1.hubspotlinks.com/Ctc/RH+113/cLgHb04/VWsXBw7c6nMGW1np...

We are looking forward to your submissions!

Best wishes,
the team of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich

Thank you.
