ZZ Top, The "Little 'Ol Band from Texas, has been instrumental in the world of music for thirty-eight years. This logo was created for the band/Dusty, Billy, and Frank, and will be presented to the band at their concert in Saint Louis, Missouri on July 29th. The hardwood wallgraphic measures 29" in diameter and took 19 hours to create. It contains 6 different hardwoods. The first "Z" is Sweet Gum, the second is Slippery Elm. "Top" is 2" Black Walnut. The circle is created from Silver Maple and Tulip Poplar and placed on a 1/4" piece of mahogany-stained Birch finish plywood. Brass was used to highlight some of the lines.
