Georgian competition seeks human rights photos

The Human Rights Center in Georgia (HRIDC) has announced a photo
contest on human rights for Georgian photojournalists. Entry
deadline: December 3.

There are three categories: photo story of three to 10 photos, a
poster, or a human rights photo shot. Each winner receives EU€300
(about US$440) as well as a special prize from the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The Human Rights Center
particularly encourages entries from the Abkhazia and Tskhinvali
regions.

Only digital images are eligible. Each image should include a
description of no more than 150 words, including an explanation of
how the photo depicts human rights issues. The description may be in
English, Georgian or Russian.
