Executives at TWO major production companies and one TV NETWORK!

1st Place Winners

Announced December 1st.

During our 20 years in Los Angeles OBS has formed alliances in the
motion picture and network television industry in order to open doors
for our members. For the 2008 contest season The CW, Our Stories Films,
and Overbrook Entertainment are interested in reading winning scripts.

The CW is the new network consolidated from The WB and UPN. UPN provided
jobs for the majority of experienced African-American show runners and
series producers working in Hollywood today. OBS is grateful that Traci
Blackwell, The

CW's Director of Current Programming, recognizes the quality and
talent of writers within the ranks of OBS. Traci is back for the second
year, and will again read the TOP TWO original TV scripts.

Our Stories Films, a joint venture between Bob Johnson and The Weinstein
Company, previously of Disney/Miramax fame, is dedicated to developing
family friendly comedies that cover a broad spectrum of the
African-American experience. Our Stories will receive our top feature
film submission.

Overbrook Entertainment has produced many international blockbusters.
As producers of both episodic television and feature films, we are happy
that Overbrook is aware of the talent within OBS. As a result, Holly
Brown, of Overbrook Entertainment will read the TOP TWO winning feature
length entries, as well as the TOP TWO TV entries!

WINNERS in the FEATURES category will submit their screenplays to; Holly
Brown, Film Department Coordinator, Overbrook Entertainment, and to
Glendon Palmer, Director of Development at Our Stories Films. They will
read the winning scripts and take a general phone or in-person meeting
with the writer. (In-person meeting for local writers only).

WINNERS in the ORIGINAL TV PILOT category will submit their scripts to
The CW. Traci Blackwell will read the top TWO scripts in the Original TV
Pilot category and hold a general meeting with the writer(s).
