Cyprus College of Art
June to August 2010
The Cyprus Summer Studio (also known as the Cyprus Summer School) was first held in 1969. Over the past 40 years it has welcomed many artists and art students from Britain, Ireland and many other countries to Cyprus, who come to spend up to a month making art, enjoying each other's company and lapping up the sunshine of the Cypriot summer. It is not a painting holiday, but it is also not an art course. It is simply an opportunity for artists and art students from other countries to come to the Cyprus College of Art and use our studios and accommodation during the summer vacation when our own students are on holiday.

Call for Participation, Art Needs YOU!
'But, art as a practical precedent is forever young and physically here with us. Works of art, as theoretical constructs, hold their place in a field of knowledge. As historical artifacts, they speak of ancestry and parental origins. As practical precedents, works of art are orphans, ready to be adopted, nurtured and groomed to the needs to any astonishing new circumstances.'-Dave Hickey, 'Orphans,' Art in America, January 2009
Orphans Offered Up is participation installation in a space that was formerly an art gallery that is now empty.

Since 2005, Adventures for the Average Woman has been a stepping stone for writers on the arduous climb up the steep path to publication. It has been our honor and privilege to be the first opportunity for many writers to get their start as well as to help promote the books of up-and-coming writers. Although we are but a small piece in the publishing puzzle, we have contributed to the careers of dozens of writers to date. Here’s what some of them have to say:

Call to Artists: ReVisions '10 to Premiere on EARTH DAY
As some of you may know, the nonprofit Eco-LogicalART Gallery has fostered the creation of huge new artworks, painted on recycled vinyl billboards, which are then installed back up on billboards. To date our "drive-by" exhibits have been on display across Los Angeles and San Francisco and been seen over 40 million times.
Planning is now under way to create several more pieces to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Eco-LA is looking for artists who would like to participate. Generally on the 14 x 48 foot "canvases" we do triptychs—each image being 10 x 13 feet. Though I like the art to stand on its own—and not necessarily be directly "Earth Day" themed, image that could be construed as "green" are also desirable.
