AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

TAG Gallery, a successful artists' co-op located in Santa Monica,
offers a selection of art including paintings, sculptures, and
photography created by local emerging and established artists. The
gallery is currently seeking artists who have a strong body of work
and professional work ethic.

As a member of TAG you will have one four week show a year, have
access to our mailing list, be included in our newsletter, have
images and bio on our website and have the opportunity to build your
mailing list and attract new buyers. TAG has been in operation since
1993 and has built a strong following from the community. Our
receptions are well attended and we enjoy consistent press exposure.

You are invited to be part of a global celebration on 17/02/10.

All we ask of you on that day is to do an arts project, however small or
big. Be creative about an issue that you believe promotes "caring and
sharing". Song, dance, theatre, draw, paint, write, make, poem, photograph,
lecture, walk, tour, talk, art class anyway that you feel you are creative!

The Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation

The Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation is looking for a highly motivated, idealistic, conceptually rigorous, and extremely organized individual with prior foundation or gallery experience to act as a hands-on Director of Operations. While we imagine that this position will be appealing to a Gonzalez-Torres scholar or an individual already holding an active management level position at a foundation, we welcome anyone with the specific abilities to contribute to the vitality and rigor of the Foundation as long as they have a keen interest in Gonzalez-Torres’ work and be able to fulfill the following requirements.

The City of Ojai invites professional artists and/or artist teams to submit
qualifications for a public art commission that is part of the Libbey Bowl
Renovation Project in the heart of downtown Ojai. Libbey Bowl is an historic
outdoor amphitheater for musical and cultural events that has been in
existence since 1957. The deadline for artist qualifications is October 21,
2009 by 5:30 p.m. The budget is estimated to be $40,000 from the Percent for
the Arts Program, with additional funds possible from grants and/or
fundraising efforts. All those interested are invited to go to the City of

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS' BOOKS!
In January 2010 Regency Arts Press Ltd. will launch OPEN BOOK, an online
searchable catalog of artists' books by artists or independent publishers
who lack distribution for their books.

We are holding an open call for possible inclusion in OPEN BOOK.

The Annex LA seeks 2D artists for this month’s Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk on October 8th. This month’s 1-day event is from 2pm-10pm. With upward of 6000 people in attendance each month, this event offers an enormous amount of exposure. This is a great opportunity to make contacts, meet artists in the area, and gain access to a young, hip, and involved audience.

Angeles, celebrating the interesting individuals who help make the Art Walk
into the most compelling urban scene in the Southland.

Your assignment, should you choose to accept it:

device
2) identify people who look like they have something interesting to say

The Obama organization is looking for a 30-second doc/promo film.

No prize money, but lots of exposure.
