AN EXHIBITION BRINGING ATTENTION TO THE RISE OF
CENSORSHIP IN THE US FROM 2024-2025.
Even before the current president took office, censorship was on the rise in the U.S. Now, the situation is sharply increasing, including restricting the scope of the NEA and rescinding awarded funding. If you are an artist, curator or institution who has been impacted by this art emergency, ART AT A TIME LIKE THIS wants to hear from you.
We are assembling a collection of artworks that have been censored or cancelled recently for an exhibition titled DON’T LOOK NOW. ATLT is committed to displaying these works in the best light so we have secured a beautiful gallery in lower Manhattan in October 2025. ATLT will cover shipping, installation and publicity, plus will share a small honorarium with each chosen artist.
DON’T LOOK NOW will include works of every medium including:
Painting
Sculpture
Photography
Digital Artworks
Textile Art
Performance
IG Posts
DON’T LOOK NOW features brave artworks addressing:
LGBQT+ Identity
Reproductive Rights
Palestinian Voices
Racial Justice and Diversity
Anti-Semitism
Alternative Histories
Anything that led to restrictions and cancellations
