New York Book Arts Scholarship

Deadline to apply: November 17, 2019

The New York Book Arts Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing a certificate in book arts at the Center for Book Arts in New York. Two year scholarships are awarded based on financial need, the potential for success, and the applicant's career goals.

This application is open to students who have been traditionally under-represented in the book arts. This group includes, but is not limited to, students identifying by a certain race, sex, color, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, age, marital status, national origin or ancestry, ethnic origin or veteran status.

Workspace Artist Residency

The Workspace Artist-in-Residence awards 4 to 5 residencies to early career artists working within the 5 boroughs of New York with little or no background in the book arts. Successful applications should show a developed body of work and describe what is hoped to gain from the access to the Center’s facilities. This residency is not for finishing a preconceived project, but should be used as an exploration of artist books and book art to expand one’s artistic practice.
