Frank Moore’s Shaman’s Den streamed live on the internet almost every Sunday night from 1998 until Frank’s death in 2013. The Shaman’s Den was a 2 1/2-hour variety show featuring in-studio concerts by bands from around the world and in-depth conversations about politics, art, music, and life.

In this volume, the first in a series, Frank and his guests explore a wide-open field of topics and present new, alternative ways of looking at everything from current economic and political situations to personal relationships.

Contemporary Art Gallery Online announces their 2nd Annual International “ALL Women” Online Art Competition for the month of February 2016. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at Contemporary Art Gallery Online during the month of March 2016. Awards will be given for the top 5 chosen winners. In addition to the winning images, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, Honorable Recognition awards will also be presented. This competition closes February 29, 2016. Winners will be announced on March 14, 2016.

Since its inception in 1993, the internship program has supported more than 3,000 internships in Los Angeles-area museums and visual arts organizations. The program aims to increase diversity in the professions related to the visual arts and to provide programmatic support for local organizations.

apexart announces its 9th annual Franchise Program open call for exhibition proposals: an opportunity to propose and produce an exhibition that takes place anywhere in the world outside of New York City. No prior curatorial experience is necessary, and anyone may apply.

Proposals may be a maximum of 500 words. No images, CVs, or links accepted, and no confirmed artist lists are required.

Four winning projects will be selected by an international jury of over 150 individuals who vote online using apexart's anonymized crowd-sourcing voting system.
