TITLE: Assistant Professor, (non-tenure track)

APPOINTMENT:100% time, one-year term appointment to begin August 27, 2012 through May 25, 2013 (9 month semester system).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

TEACHING:
Commitment and dedication to both undergraduate and graduate teaching in a
professional program within a liberal arts college
Teach five courses per academic year within an area of Experimental and
Media Arts within a fine arts department
Advise undergraduate/graduate students
Participate on graduate reviews/thesis committees

SERVICE:
Serve on departmental committees.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its June 2012 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “Figurative” and artists were asked for their interpretation of this theme by depicting the human form or human features. “Figurative” was considered to be figures, forms and faces either in the representational or abstract genre.

An art competition was held in May 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 19 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 33 different states. Overall, there were 731 entries from 216 different artists that were judged for this art competition.

Now accepting submissions for the Creative Divergents Summer 2012 Showcase.  All forms of creative works are encouraged - any media, subjects, and styles are welcome.  Open to all ages, internationally. $1,000 (USD) award.  Winning submission determined by creative vision, innovation, potential to engage an audience, presentation (i.e. quality of the images submitted), and overall impression.  $5 fee per submission (includes up to 3 images).  For more information and to see past award recipients: http://creativedivergents.com

HISK – Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten / Higher Institute for Fine Arts – Advanced Studies & Practice-based Research in Visual Arts

The HISK offers a postacademic course in audiovisual and visual art. The institute provides 24 young artists from Belgium and abroad with a studio of their own for two years.
