Artists in Discussion

"Tattooed Man" - Elizabeth Perez

Please join us on Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for a discussion with artists Barbara Carrasco, John Valadez, Elizabeth Perez and J. Michael Walker regarding their current works in our "Intensidad" exhibition.

Barbara Carrasco creates small concentrated bites of intense, yet delicate, drawings. J. Michael Walker, fresh from his one-man exhibition at the Autry National Center makes a 180 degree turn from his Saints series by exhibiting a large colored pencil nude of unusual beauty. Elizabeth Perez's portraits of tattooed people introduces us to a defiant sub-culture. John Valadez, always on point, exhibits his series on the dance of the matador. Please join us for what should be a lively discussion.

When: Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 3-5 pm

Another in the photoshopped version of the cards I drew in pencil and colored pencil on 3x5 index cards. The original of this was awful; anything would have been an improvement....this is 2009 version of digitization of this; I like this one better.
