Bilingual Photography Workshop for individuals that are
blind and partially sighted
PAINTING WITH LIGHT
With Sol Aramendi

Join us for a photography workshop for individuals who are blind and
partially sighted, led by Sol Aramendi, educator, artist and founder of
Project Luz. The participants will create photographic images using
flashlights and will collaborate to develop themes and narratives for the
project. The workshops will culminate with a student exhibition in El Museo
del Barrio’s Youth Gallery, presented in conjunction with El Museo del
Barrio’s Bienal: The (S) Files. Workshops are designed for adults and
offered free of charge.

When: Wednesdays, 4pm—6pm April 20, 27 and May 4, 11, 18, 25

Sol Aramendi is an artist an educator founder of Project Luz, a photography
program for new immigrants. She learned the painting with light technique
with the collective "Seeing with photography" at Visions. Sol is included
in El Museo’s Bienal: The (S) Files, opening June 14, 2011.
