Seeking Independent, Innovative Part-Time Coordinator

Must be available to start immediately.

The Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles is a service organization for dance. Our mission is to support community-based
professional dance activity by providing its members access to
information, resources, and services; and to promote the visibility of
Greater Los Angeles dance on local, state, and national levels.

We are currently in a period of reshaping and fine-tuning our organization to better suit the needs of the community, and our all-volunteer board of directors works as a team to accomplish these goals. This part-time hourly position works remotely, with generally flexible hours during business days, plus weekend special events and monthly board meetings.

Duties:
-Respond to all email inquiries, including member and technical support
-Manage advertising accounts, create eblast advertisements to be sent
for members & clients
-Edit both editions of our weekly Dance News
-Continue to build alliances between the DRC and other service
organizations & venues around LA
-Help to envision and execute programs which will better serve the LA
dance community and increase membership
-Attend community events to increase awareness of the DRC and
encourage new members to join
-Assist with the writing of grants for the organization
-Work closely with accountant to update membership and invoice.
-Assist the board President and other members of the board with special projects
-Work with database to pull demographic reports and create mailing labels

Qualifications:
-Strong interest in both arts administration and the LA dance community
-Prefer BA or BFA, in progress or complete
-Highly motivated, reliable worker, solves problems independently and
takes initiative with new opportunities.
-Relates well to people, networks and builds relationships in the arts
community.
-Skilled writer and communicator
-STRONG customer service skills
-Experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
-Familiarity with Constant Contact and Photoshop a plus
-Available to work limited weekend events and attend business meetings
