Boston Court Performing Arts Center is seeking submissions from artists
for its 4thAnnual Art Exhibition to be held October 6-9, 2011. An
award-winning theatre and performing space in Pasadena, for the last
three years Boston Court has hosted an art exhibition, bringing local
and regional artists to a wider public. This year Boston Court will
continue to bring contemporary art to its audience, but will also be
trying something new. We are seeking works of art that explore some of
the same subjects and themes as the play The Dinosaur Within by John
Walch, which will have its opening night at The Theatre @ Boston Court
the same weekend.

Here is a description of the play:

"The disappearance of ancient dinosaur footprints in the Australian
outback triggers a series of mysterious events bringing together a
forgotten movie star, an Aboriginal elder and a grieving father on an
epic journey of transformation. From the vast Australian desert to
subway tunnels beneath Hollywood Boulevard, Dreamtime meets the Dream
Factory when worlds collide in this play that ponders the depth of human
loss, the fragile bonds between parents and children, and the
possibility of redemption."

We are looking for original works of art about old Hollywood, and the
history of Los Angeles, and Pasadena. We prefer that these works be
sculptural or large scale. To submit work for the 4th Annual Art
Exhibition at Boston Court, please send jpegs (72 dpi, 1 MG or smaller)
of up to five works completed since January 2009 for consideration to
art@BostonCourt.com. Please indicate the size and media of the work. A
brief statement and a CV may be included. Deadline for submission is
September 16, 2011.
