The Las Virgenes Unified School District, located in Northern Los Angeles County and encompassing the cities of Calabasas, Agoura, Hidden Hills and Westlake Village, is a destination public school district well known for its educational excellence, both in academics and the performing arts. The Performing Arts Education Centers (PAECs} are currently under construction with full funding provided by a voter-approved construction bond. Upon completion in late 2012, the PAECs will be two fully-equipped, professional-quality performing arts centers located at Calabasas and Agoura High Schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District, each including a 650 main stage theater and a flexible-seating Black Box theater. Because the PAECs will be new facilities welcomed by the school district and community with great anticipation, the Manger will have the unique opportunity to create the operational dynamics and shape the future of these two new and exciting cultural hubs.

Under the supervision of the chief Business official in collaboration with a high school principal designee, this position is responsible for the administration, management, commissioning, warranty follow-up, training, day-to0day operations and event operations of two professional-level Performing Arts Education Centers. These facilities will be used for student performances, and community, commercial and non-profit rentals. A focus of this effort will be integrating the PAECs; positioning the PAECs as substantial performing arts centers in the region; and establishing the reputation of the PAECs as venues for high-quality student, community, and professional performances.
