CALLING ALL COMMUNITY PERFORMERS!

LA Opera is seeking volunteer DANCERS, ACTORS and SINGERS to perform in The Festival Play of Daniel (ages 11 and up).

LA Opera and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels are working together to produce a community opera production
of The Festival Play of Daniel, conducted by LA Opera's Richard Seaver Music Director James Conlon. The production
will feature a cast and chorus of nearly 400 from Los Angeles-area community groups performing alongside LA Opera
singers and Orchestra members. This unique program has a playful yet intense focus, that culminates in community
performances at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angeles in downtown Los Angeles on March 4 and 5.
(see complete schedule on reverse)

Participation in the Community Ensemble does not require a formal audition, but interested performers
must attend an orientation/casting workshop at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on either:
Tuesday, December 1, 6:00-8:00pm or Sunday, December 6, 1:00-3:00pm

To sign-up for one of the orientation workshops, please visit www.LAOpera.org/Community-Opera

Ensemble roles include dancing and non-dancing priestesses, warriors, soldiers, nobles, slaves, and others who make up Daniel's world and play an integral part in the production.
