The festival curator's central responsibility is the development of the curatorial concept and programme for the festival in 2028. The position invites one or more persons with previous curatorial experience to critically engage with topics at the intersection of art, technology, science, society, and politics, and to contribute to transmediale’s 40-year-long history as one of the leading festivals of art and digital culture.

apexart invites 500-word idea-based group exhibition proposals for our 2027–28 NYC Open Call from October 1–October 31, 2026. Five winning proposals will each receive a 10,000 USD exhibition budget to become "apexart exhibitions" as part of our 2027-28 exhibition season. The International Human Rights Art Festival is Calling all Playwrights!
We are looking for 10-minute, 2-character (only) plays, on any human rights concern, to be a part of a special event at this year's International Human Rights Art Festival (December 12, 2026).
Five lucky playwrights will receive $50 each and two comp tickets to see their play produced as they never could have imagined.

Foundwork is pleased to announce the international open call for the 2026 Foundwork Artist Prize, its annual juried award for contemporary artists working in any media.
This year’s honoree will receive an unrestricted 10,000 USD grant, studio visits with each of the five jurors, and a long-form interview as part of Foundwork’s Dialogues program.
In addition to the honoree, three artists will be named to the 2026 Short List and each will receive a 1,000 USD micro-grant.
The 2026 jury brings together five eminent leaders within the contemporary art community, based in Rotterdam, Los Angeles, Guatemala City, New York, and Berlin:
