Vevey International Photo Award 2013/2014

Festival Images is launching another round of its project competition.
Artists and photographers have until March 15th 2013 to enter the Vevey International Photo Award.

The purpose of this award consists in providing crucial assistance for projects that have not been realised, in the form of a grant up to CHF 40,000 (around € 33,000), in order to bring a photography or film initiative to completion. There is also the potential to win other prizes and receive exhibitions proposals at Quai1 or during the Festival Images.

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP

The Santa Monica Museum of Art is seeking an unpaid Social Media and Marketing intern to help raise the museum's visibility through the creation of a social media strategy, producing museum-related online content, and assisting in targeted community outreach campaigns. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the web, and enthusiasm for following and analyzing social media dynamics and trends. Solid writing, communication, and social skills are essential. Design skills, knowledge of Wordpress, and video editing skills are a plus. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain hands-on experience in the External Affairs department of a contemporary art museum.

As a response to community need for dance making spaces, thePennington Dance Group will offer space based on an application basis.

PDG SPACE GRANTS Information:

PDG SPACE GRANTS will provide selected choreographers up to35 hours of creative rehearsal space for making new work.
Space will be available from April through November 2013 inconjunction with ARC Pasadena’s regularscheduling.
