The Volkswagen Fellows will assist various museum departments in research, writing, correspondence and other tasks required to produce a large scale international exhibition at MoMA PS1 in 2013, which will be made possible by a partnership with Volkswagen of America.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, MS Office, and Photoshop. Proficiency with InDesign is also preferred.

apexart holds its 5th annual Franchise Program open call, accepting 500-word exhibition proposals.

Making a comment on the franchise business model, apexart, NYC, annually holds a worldwide open call for proposals for curated group exhibitions to be presented anywhere in the world other than New York City.

Triumvirate Pi Theater is seeking one more cast member for our
performance piece with puppetry "Maudit" that will be at Highways in
Santa Monica, June 22 and 23 with rehearsals starting end of April.
The six member ensemble will create and puppeteer all the characters
and scenic effects which will include shadow work, rod, abstract, and
adapted bunraku. We are seeking performers with experience in
movement, physical theater, dance and/or puppetry, and work well in
ensembles and collaborative situations. Previous experience in
puppetry specifically is not necessary, only an openness to learn. We
very much encourage applicants of color to apply. Performers
interested in interviewing/auditioning to be part of the ensemble

Trade City, a non-profit arts organization will soon be taking to the streets in THE POPWAGON, a mobile stage and art space that roams Los Angeles, unleashing arts and culture on unsuspecting audiences in unexpected places. We're planning our first season of programming and ramping up for a wild ride.

We really want to make this a community-driven project and a "vehicle" for all the great ideas zooming around in the minds of our fellow artists. If you've got an idea for a project that would work well in a 20'x 8' mobile space, fill out the submission form on our website

Dance, Music, Laptop Orchestra

This Wednesday 4/4 at 5PM, Concordia Electroacoustics and Dance students collaborate in an afternoon dance show featuring a series of one-minute long dance/EA pieces by advanced students and a performance of Concordia Laptop Orchestra (CLOrk) with dance.

The Orchestra performance will feature group-beat-making through CLOrk's proprietary OSC/MIDI WLAN-Sync (programmed in PD).  

The audience is invited to walk inside the performance area, among the dancers and live musicians, during the show. 
Snacks will be served.

Admission is free
