The Bemis Center is accepting applications for 3 month residencies featuring
$750 monthly stipends, staff support, generously sized live/work studios and
24 hour access to facilities.
Recently ranked "[one of the] Top 10 Residency Programs Around the Globe" by
Artinfo, the Bemis Center makes every effort to support artists in their
practice. From the beginning, the art-making process has been the highest
priority at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, where both the
atmosphere and environment offer ideal situations for creative growth and
experimentation. Artists from around the world come to the Bemis Center to
work in this supportive community and confront new challenges.

The gallery invites all 2D artists (including photography) from around the world to make online submissions for inclusion in to the Gallery’s October 2013 online group art exhibition.
Light Space & Time encourages entries from artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to send us your best interpretation of the theme “Animals". Animal subjects would include mammals, birds and any animals that live in the water. The deadline to apply to this art competition is September 26, 2013.

Previous directors were Willem Sandberg (1945–1963), Edy de Wilde (1963–1985), Wim Beeren (1985–1993), Rudi Fuchs (1993–2003), Hans van Beers (2003–2005), and Gijs van Tuyl (2005–2009).
