for Print Makers/Visual Artist MacArthur Park

LA Commons is searching for a Lead Artist to work
with a core Youth Arts Team

(Age 15-25) to collect neighborhood stories regarding
the art in MacArthur Park, what people value about the park and people’s dreams
for the park. The lead artist will work
with youth artist team to create a series of Linoleum or Silkscreen prints on
banners that will be displayed throughout the area as well as on tee-shirts. Youth Arts team members will also be paid a
stipend for their work. LA Commons will
coordinate project partners, supply acquisition, workshop space and recruiting
the Youth Arts team. One lead artist
will be hired to work with the team.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: INTERNATIONAL THEATRE INTERNSHIPS

INTERNATIONAL THEATRE LAB IS SEEKING committed enthusiastic individuals to join our team for a full-time summer internship at our Theatre Centre in Bjørke, Norway. The duration of the internship will be three months or less, with a minimum of one month, between June and August 2012. During this period, the interns will be exposed to intensive theatre training and creation, and will be sharing duties with staff members that include marketing, administration, community outreach and housekeeping.

CONDITIONS OF INTERNSHIP: Internships are to be viewed as a training opportunity and are unpaid. However, we cover accommodation and meals for the selected applicants. Travel expenses remain the responsibility of the intern.

educator, and manager for its Art Mentoring Program. Working under the
supervision of the Director of Programs, this position's roles
include development of the film and animation programs (including
comics), teaching, and program oversight in key areas.
Qualifications: The qualified candidate is an excellent arts education
manager, experienced filmmaker, and educator; experienced teaching film
to youth preferred, as is a background and interest in documentary film
and community storytelling. Familiarity with participant produced media
a plus. A high level of computer proficiency is required, including
being expert with current innovations in film and digital arts software

Greenway Arts Alliance and Friends of Fairfax, both in the same location on the campus of Fairfax High School, is seeking a joint Director of Operations to oversee the operations of both nonprofits. Greenway Arts Alliance produces professional theatre productions and educational outreach programs for Fairfax High School. Friends of Fairfax supports the fundraising efforts at Fairfax High School.

The position is responsible for administrative management, and oversight of all policies, processes, activities and functions related to operating of both nonprofits. It is full time and would start immediately. Salary starts at $45K. Includes health benefits, vacation, paid holidays. Position would report to the two Co-Founders of the organization.
