POSITION
The Instructor will work one-on-one with adult artists with developmental disabilities to develop their own unique artwork for sale. Qualified candidates will know a variety of printmaking techniques and other mixed-media techniques including drawing, painting, collage, etc. that can be adapted to create successful projects with our artists.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
1. Work with several developmentally disabled adult artists at a time in a fun and energetic atmosphere.
2. Ensure the safety and well-being of our artists, and help maintain an overall enjoyable studio for all participants.
3. Implement artistic, educational, and behavioral treatment plans monthly.

*Environmental Charter Middle School, Inglewood*, a small,
environmentally-themed charter school in Inglewood, is looking for an
inspired, creative teacher for our Handwork elective. The position entails
teaching art-making to 6th,7th, and 8th graders from Tuesday-Friday for a
total of 20 hours per week and attending meetings periodically on Mondays.
The teacher will collaborate with core humanities and math/science teachers
to plan curricula that adds dimension to core content.
This course supports our study of core academic standards (history,
science, language arts, and math). Sample activities might include
papyrus-making to support the study of Ancient Egypt, weaving to support
our Ancient Greece unit, perspective drawing from the Renaissance, or
