DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Program Director, the Technical Coordinator (TC) provides and oversees all technical aspects of performances and staged readings, which include but are not limited to: lights, audio, multimedia, chairs, cables, stands, furniture, set pieces, and props. The TC is responsible for communication and coordination of technical production. The TC will evaluate and assess the technical needs of the artistic team and determine how to best accomplish all production related requirements. Other requirements include but are not limited to:

basis. The candidate is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, capable of

The Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists (CAATA) is looking for extremely organized individuals with excellent people skills to help coordinate the conference and festival portions in key positions of the Third National Asian American Theater Conference and Festival from June 16-26, 2011 in Los Angeles.
CAATA is looking for Los Angeles residents with experience in conference or festival organizing, or marketing/pr of Asian American events, or stage management, or technical theater. A knowledge of the Asian American community as well as a passion for Asian American theater is helpful. The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor is required. There is some pay. Some positions start immediately.
