Media Internship
The media intern will gain experience in all aspects of video and audio production in a museum setting. The media intern will work closely with Web Associate to digitize, edit, render, and export videos and MP3s for Hammer website. This position requires an intermediate understanding of Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Logic, and Photoshop. Candidate will be well organized, communicative, and proactive. Knowledge of contemporary art and art history a plus. Any college level welcome.
Terms:
Approximately 15 hours per week, June through August. This is an unpaid internship.

Position summary:
The Producing Director is responsible for the production of all artistic events of the company, with fiscal oversight from the Managing Director and artistic oversight from the Artistic Directors. Also responsible for the production aspects of fundraising events. Serves on the Cabinet.
Design Internship
The Hammer Museum Design team seeks an intern to assist in general design duties, including but not limited to formatting temporary signage, designing advertising for web, and print production.
Maximum of 12 hours a week. This internship is unpaid, but work-study is available for UCLA candidates. Candidates must be MAC users, and proficient in Adobe CS3 or CS4 (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Must have personal laptop. Knowledge of HTML and Flash a plus.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission is seeking a visionary Director of its Civic Art Program. This program, which allocates 1% of county capital projects for public art, began in 2005. This position has overall responsibility for planning, developing, and implementing what is becoming one of the largest public art programs in the country, with close to 50 projects currently in various stages of development.
