Tate Britain, the home of British art from 1500 to the present, is seeking to appoint a Director to lead the Gallery. The new Director will succeed Stephen Deuchar, who has been appointed Director of The Art Fund, joining Tate Britain at a time when a major programme of capital development is under way and when the opportunity to develop a vision of engagement with historic and contemporary British art has never been more exciting.
Indian video and film production experts can apply to teach and train citizens in rural India to use video equipment for four to six months.
Trainers will work in community media centers in Goa, India, where poor and disadvantaged people are trained to create their own media content. Members will learn to be powerful communicators, journalists, filmmakers, advocates and leaders in their communities.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission and the City of Los Angeles
Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) have each received $250,000 in
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds from the National Endowment
for the Arts (NEA). In accordance with the NEA guidelines, these funds
will provide grants to nonprofit arts organizations in the region to
preserve jobs in the arts sector. These local arts agencies were the
only two that received funds to re-grant in the state of California.
Arts organizations eligible to apply for NEA Recovery Funds from the
Arts Commission or DCA must have:

WHAT IS THE FIFTH CURATOR COMPETITION?
The Fifth Curator competition is a new and unique opportunity for an aspiring curator from outside the UK to select an exhibition from the British Council Collection, which includes over 8500 key works of British art from the 20th and 21st century.
Inside Out Community Arts is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working to empower youth through the arts. KIDVID is a collaborative program presented by Inside Out Community Arts and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation. KidVid is a video and filmmaking course that connects industry professionals and media artists with inner-city high school students.
