Job Description: Opening Act seeks Assistant Teaching Artists for its after-school theater programs in New York City’s public high schools. Teaching artists will work as a team to bring together a strong ensemble of students, give them a foundation in improvisation and acting technique, and lead them through the creative process of writing and performing an original production which will be performed by the students in a professional theater. All Teaching Artists will be trained throughout the year and Assistant Teaching Artists have the potential to become Lead Teaching Artists after a year of working with Opening Act.
