Job: Teacher's Assistant for Middle School Handwork/Textile Arts Class

Environmental Charter Middle School is seeking an assistant teacher for our handwork/arts class. The class meets Tuesdays through Fridays through June 2013. 8-16 hours per week between 10 and 3— exact schedule is to be determined.

Job Hours and Benefits: Hourly classified employee $11 -14 / hour; 8-12 hours per week

Job Purpose Statement: The Handwork Assistant will assist the Handwork teacher in grades 6-8.

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow curriculum planned by teacher; assist with preparations
• Direct student activities and projects under teacher's guidance
• Work collegially and in flexible fashion with faculty, classroom volunteers and staff
• Help to maintain supplies and classrooms in beautiful, clean and orderly fashion
