Open Call for Puppetry Acts
The Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles, seeks 8-10 puppetry performances for a one-day Family Puppet Festival on Sunday, April 7, 2013. The Festival will feature a wide range of puppetry, from small to large scale, utilizing diverse media, and drawing on a variety of cultural traditions.
About the Skirball:
*Position Description*:
The Presenter will provide an introduction to theater arts to students. The
presentation and content has already been developed. This position reports
directly to the Education Coordinator. He/she will have a commitment to
performing arts and must embrace an "out-of-the-box", edgy approach to
presenting. He/she is enthusiastic, resourceful, and will create excitement
in the audience about the arts.
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage the audience, particularly the youth
- Prior experience in opera/musical Broadway
- Creative and passionate about the arts
*Special Requirements:*
- Ability to work as needed basis.
- Ability to have transportation.
Outfest seeks motivated, enthusiastic individuals for five different intern
opportunities. Interns will be asked to take leadership roles and will
beencouraged to add their own voice and talents to the organization.

*Qualifications and Experience:*
Internship candidates must possess strong writing and phone skills; they
must be self-motivated, positive, and well-organized team players. Computer
knowledge is required, including but not limited to: Internet research,
Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
*Internship Specifications:*
Outfest requires a minimum commitment of 10-20 hours a week, sometime
between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Internship schedules are
