Employment Opportunity Development Director

The Los Angeles Music and Art School (LAMusArt) is a nonprofit organization that provides quality arts education to youth and adults in East Los Angeles and the surrounding communities. LAMusArt serves approximately 600 students each month, providing instruction in art, music, dance and drama.

LAMusArt is seeking a qualified, motivated individual to assume the position of Development Director. This is a one-person development shop; we need someone with great ideas, energy and flexibility.
The position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an expanded resource development program that will identify and cultivate donors from corporations, foundations, and individuals, develop a fundraising infrastructure, and create a lasting base of support for the organization.

Call for Visual Artist/Muralist Palms Neighborhood (Los Angeles)

LA Commons is searching for a Lead Artist to work with a core Youth Arts Team (Age 15-25) to collect neighborhood stories at the sites and design and paint images on Utility boxes in Palms Neighborhood. Youth Arts team members will also be paid a stipend for their work. LA Commons will coordinate Project partners, supply acquisition, workshop space and recruiting the Youth Arts team. Two lead artists will be hired to each work with a youth team to design and paint 4 utility boxes.

Project Partners: LA Commons, Palms Neighborhood Association, Office of LA City Councilman Herb Wesson and Hamilton High School.

2011 include: USC Light Pole Banner Project, Palms Utility Box Mural
Project, and MidCity Light Pole Banner Project.

JOB OPENING: FINE ART SALES ASSOCIATE

The ECF Art Centers is a non-profit that nurtures 135 gifted Adult
Artists (18 years and older) with disabilities and is looking for an
experienced and talented Fine Art Sales Associate. Our artists have had
exhibits locally in Los Angeles to exhibiting at the Smithsonian Gallery
and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC. One of our artists has
also shown in a fundraiser group exhibit with David Hockney, therefore
there is great potential in the type of work being sold. The Art Dealer
position would require going to restaurant owners, interior designers,
studio staging productions, home developers, contemporary furniture
outlets, offices, hotels and other relevant venues to acquire accounts
for multiple sales.
