Founded in 1999, the Centre for the Living Arts is a contemporary arts organization that operates the 16,000 SF Space 301 Gallery and Studio, in downtown Mobile, Alabama.
The CLA is focused on a quest to reinvent what a contemporary arts organization can be for our time. We aim to be a pivotal force in contemporary art for the Southeast by marshaling global talent to engage all sectors of the Mobile community in ideas that matter.

Family Program Amphitheater Coordinator
Limited-Term Summer Position
Description:
The Skirball Cultural Center seeks to identify an independent contractor
to oversee weekend performances presented in the Skirball Cultural
Center 's outdoor amphitheater adjacent to and programmed in
connection with Noah's Ark at the Skirball, the institution's
interactive destination for children and families.
The contract covers weekend programs spanning June 17–September 1,
2013. Applicants must be able to work 6.5 hour days each Saturday and
Sunday for the duration of the season, amounting to approximately
thirteen hours per week.

from Teaching Artists who will facilitate workshops for students at
alternative high schools for the academic year of 2013-2014.
ABOUT artworxLA
artworxLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to education through
the arts. With a hands-on approach, it seeks to end the high school
dropout crisis in the United States by empowering individuals to think
creatively and become catalysts for social change. In Los Angeles
County, artworxLA brings arts education to more than 600 students
annually at 21 alternative high schools. Teaching Artists facilitate
11-week workshop sessions addressing one of three themes (see on

Business Manager/Registrar
Summary of position: Serves as Business Manager/Registrar for Community School of Performing Arts. Prepares and monitors CSPA department budget and analyzes and explains variances. Maintains primary responsibility for student registration and records and related activities including studio/classroom scheduling, and calculation of faculty teaching hours. Assists in the administration of the financial aid process.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Manages finance functions of CSPA. Analyzes financial information and prepares reports. Ensures CSPA is on track to meet financial goals.
• Develops and monitors CSPA budget. Analyzes financial results compared to budget and goals.
PROJECT COORDINATOR – PAID INTERNSHIP

Coordinate the Hollywood Arts Council’s 28th Annual Children’s Festival of the
Arts (attendance 3,000+), a free community event to be held at Paramount
Pictures, August 11th.Ā This highly responsible position
reports directly to the President and Executive Director and includes:

* Artist recruitment and follow up
* Scheduling of artist workshops and performances
* Meet with Paramount Pictures liaison regarding festival site and logistics
* Outreach to community organizations meetings including appearing at Neighborhood Council meetings to enroll and inform stakeholders about the event.Ā
* Budget oversight i.e. being aware of budget limitations; negotiate accordingly
* Publicity follow up including festival flyer production
The University of Southern California (USC) seeks an experienced Arts
Producer to advocate for the arts in Southern California by producing a
weekly on-air arts magazine program and multimedia content to be
distributed online. The producer will nurture existing and new
relationships between Classical KUSC Radio and area arts organizations
and work with KUSC staff to refresh KUSC's arts coverage strategy. The
goal is to:
- Increase public awareness of, attendance at, and appreciation for the
variety of cultural offerings and assets available in Los Angeles and
the surrounding area
- Increase exposure for small and medium sized arts organizations in
addition to the major institutions
- Give listeners a context for understanding specific arts and cultural
LA Commons Call for Visual Artist
MacArthur Park LA Commons is searching for a Lead Artist to work with a core Youth Arts Team (Age 15-25) to collect neighborhood stories and to create temporary work of visual art that shares the stories.
In the past, art exhibitions have been installed for 3-6months in MacArthur Park. Youth Arts team members will also be paid a stipend for their work. LA Commons will coordinate project partners, supply acquisition, workshop space and recruiting the Youth Arts team. One lead artist will be hired to work with the team.
Project Partners: LA Commons, CARECEN, Mama’s Hot Tamales, Miguel Contreras HS, ReDiscover MacArthur Park Coalition, Peoples University of Law, and the Office of LA City Council Member Ed Reyes.
