Job Description:

The Admin, Assistant will assist the Executive Director with all kind
of tasks associated with writing documents for pre-production,
production, sales, marketing, programs, grants, sponsorship proposals,
accounting, book-keeping, and other work related work.

· Experience with computers (MAC, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS

Excel), databases, Quicken, and e-mails needed. Experience with
graphic art work, Photoshop & Finance/Management is helpful.

· Bachelor’s preferred but effectiveness, knowledge, experience,

The Leimert Park Group Internship Program is an opportunity to learn how
to plan, produce and execute successful events. This 14-week program
(June 4-Sept 10) includes classroom instruction w/guest lecturers,
homework, tests, field work and a practicum (supervised practical
application of what you have learned).

Weekly Tuesday meetings from 4pm - 6pm or 6pm - 8pm, begin June 4 in Leimert Park
Village in Los Angeles which is near Crenshaw Blvd. & Vernon Avenue.
The practicum takes place during the 5th Annual Leimert Park Village
African Art & Music Festival, August 31, Sept. 1, & Sept. 2,
2013. The program concludes with an evaluation meeting.

The prerequisites for participation are:
